Minutes of the PTFA Organising Group – 3/7/2024

Present – Andrew Evans (Pennaeth), Richard Pearce (Chair of Governors) Caryl Pughe, Bethan Edwards, Ynyr & Sophie Jones, Gwenno Owen, Glenda Jones, Sian Mosfaord, Sarah Wynne.

Mr Evans opened the meeting by formally thanking everyone for their hard work over the last 12 month which have been sensational not only in what has been achived but also the amount of money raised.  It is hoped that this committee can now form the norm of PTFA activities with similar fund raisers next year for a new nominated charity, the school and cylch.

Glenda shared copies of cash book showing expenditure and money in for the fund raising.  Totals were:-

150th Parkinsons events = £6753.65

Leyland Evening = £990.10

How the funds were to be split were discussed and there were several options discussed but it was decided by a majority that the funds would be split as:-

150th Celebrations 

£2000 Parkinsons UK Cymru

£2000 Cylch

£2753.65 PTFA

Leyland Evening

£500 Wrexham Maelor Shooting Star Cancer Appeal

£490.10 Cylch

Glenda is to contact Keri McKie at Parkinsons Wales to see if she able to attend the Year 6 leavers evening and Caryl will contact Eleri to see if she or a representative from the Maelor in order for us to present them with the cheques.
